Animal Island

I have finally started to feel comfortable to drive after 2 years and 4 months.

However, it sometimes gets scary because you have to watch so many things, which are unique to this island.

This morning, I was driving the highway, and suddenly one dark animal (maybe goat) was crossing slowly from the left side. The creature stopped another car at another side of the highway.

I got very close to it. I stopped, and it still kept walking slowly in front of me......

I kept honking to warn him, "Get out of the road!"

Those animals' only concern seems to be water in the green along the road or food across the street.

They seem not to have any concepts what the car is, how fast it runs, and how destructive it gets......

I almost hit one mongoose, crossing the road. He was very fast.

Sometimes, birds fly in front of your front glass!

It is very challenging to drive on this island sometimes.

We really need to pay attention all the time.

We also need to judge at each moment whether we keep going or stop, not to cause accidents to us and around us.

I just heard a lizard barking outside of our house.

We love it because they eat bugs such as cockroaches.

This is an island of abundant wildlife.
