“From Amazon to Big Island - 9 - “

I really enjoyed eating time with Arthur and Theresa.

Table time always came with fun conversation and laughter.

Every morning, Arthur was always early to get up, sit on his seat on the table, played Hawaiian music LOUD, and wait for other members to join.

It was always a cheerful moment with lots of laughter and smiles.

I remember they often kissed in front of me.

I came from the culture where married couples, especially senior ones, rarely kissed or hugged in public, so the scene was so refreshing to me!

They were already over 70 years old, but they were like a newly wed to me.

I thought, “Marriage will be a good thing.”

I told Arthur, “I wish I could find a man like you!”

He laughed and told me, “I am already taken!”. His beautiful wife, Theresa, was smiling beside of him.

At that time, I never knew they would bring a wonderful man to me later.
